Mallory was born and raised in Yankton, South Dakota, but like a lot of people in the area, much of her family’s story started in Cedar County, Nebraska. Mallory is part of two big families. Her dad is a Cedar County Schulte, and one of six children. Her mom is a Cedar County Eickhoff, and one of eleven children. That’s a lot of aunts and uncles! Mallory credits her fifteen ornery uncles with setting her down the path to becoming a lawyer at a young age. She learned how to defend herself and her cousins at an early age.

In school, Mallory was a star pupil. Even after all of these years, her preschool teacher has vivid memories of her. At Yankton High School, she excelled on the debate team, in band, and in dance. She continued to excel, graduating from Augustana College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She obtained her law degree with Sterling Honors from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2017. She also received the Gavel Award, which is an award given by the law school faculty for their choice of “outstanding student.”  Her family jokingly calls it the “teacher’s pet award.”

But teachers loved her for the same reason her clients do today. She works hard. She comes prepared. She cares. Mallory’s practice is primarily devoted to working with families to plan their legacy and protecting vulnerable adults. She also enjoys assisting individuals complete real estate transactions and organize their business entities.

Before joining the Birmingham & Cwach Law Offices, PLLC, Mallory worked for two years as the Pro Se Law Clerk for the United States District Court, District of South Dakota where she discovered her passion for helping those unfamiliar with the legal system navigate the processes. Clients can expect, regardless of the circumstance bringing them in, that they will receive the same level of care for navigating complicated legal processes.
